PhD in Philosophy and Arts from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, 1987.

She has been Professor of Art and Education at the Faculty of Education and Psychology at the University of Girona since 1997. She is an expert in Heritage and Education, the comparative history of artistic education and in the area of multicultural curriculum. She is a member of the ICOMOS. Director of the inter-university doctorate in Visual Arts and Education: a constructionist approach. She has been director of the department of Specific Didactics and is currently a member of research committee at her university. She is also a member of the AQU (Agency for the Quality of the Catalan University System), l’ANEP (National Evaluation and Foresight Agency) of the AQUIB (Agency for the Quality of the Balearic Islands Universities) and the International Society of Comparative Didactics. She has directed theses and research projects. She is a member of various different doctoral and teaching evaluation committees. She has published books and journals both nationally and internationally and is director of the Art and Education collection of the Paidós Editorial. She has been an invited speaker at numerous international congresses.
